Meet The Owner: Continuing the Legacy

Hello, I’m Andrea Witt, a longtime New Mexico resident and the owner of The Ivy Tearoom. Before entering the hospitality industry, I worked as a licensed clinical social worker, supporting individuals and families in my community.

I’m also the proud mother of two grown children and a grandmother. Family has always been at the center of my life, along with my love of travel, food, and bringing people together. My travels have inspired many of the tea blends and menu items we serve, allowing us to incorporate flavors and traditions from different places while maintaining our New Mexico roots.

My journey with The Ivy Tearoom began when I met its founder and experienced the tearoom for myself. I was immediately drawn to its welcoming atmosphere, thoughtfully curated teas, and distinctive approach to afternoon tea. I saw an opportunity to continue what had been created while bringing my own ideas and experience to its future.

The Ivy Tearoom has since been recognized as one of the top 21 tearooms in the world,  an honor that reflects the care our team puts into every guest experience.

Today, The Ivy Tearoom offers more than afternoon tea. It is a place to slow down, connect with others, celebrate special occasions, and enjoy thoughtfully crafted teas and food in a memorable setting.
